HIKmicro AI56 Acoustic Camera for Gas Leak Detection and Corona Discharge

Any gas escaping from a pressurized system through small gaps or cracks generates ultrasound (inaudible to the human ear). The HIKmicro AI56 acoustic camera detects audible noises and ultrasound, processes it, and displays its location and intensity.

Based on the graphically projected noise (intensity) on the video image, the location of the leak can be easily identified. With a push of a button, the measurement results and the image of the inspected area can be stored, making it almost "child's play" to document and record the identified deficiencies (leaks). The instrument also transforms ultrasound into the audible frequency range. The intensity of the noise heard is stronger the closer we are to the leak. In addition to detecting gas and vapor leaks, the HIKmicro AI56 acoustic camera is also suitable for detecting corona discharges on electrical systems. The high sensitivity of the built-in microphones ensures that the inspections can be carried out from a sufficient safety distance.
