Sensonics DN2602 Machine Protection Unit - The Sensonics DN2602 type dual-channel shaft vibration monitor/machine protection unit ensures the supervised machine is completely safe. The device is virtually maintenance-free and performs continuous self-checks on its measuring channels and attached measuring circuits for safety. The unit is capable of receiving signals from two eddy current proximity sensors (shaft vibration sensors). The monitoring unit of type DN2602 can be applied to all types of rotating machinery, primarily sleeve-bearing machines, such as turbines, high-performance centrifugal pumps, and compressors.

Description

The DN2602 device processes the signals from the sensors according to the set measurement range, then outputs current signals proportional to the vibration levels from both channels. The buffered signals from the sensors are available for further evaluations via the BNC connector.

The operation of the two alarm relay outputs per channel is based on the respective channel signal level. If the vibration level on any channel exceeds the set warning or protection threshold, the warning or protection LED corresponding to the channel lights up, and the respective relay contact of the channel switches.

The current values and set thresholds can be viewed on the built-in digital display.
