PCB 683A Vibration Monitoring Device - Installed, Continuous Vibration Monitoring Device

PCB 683A Vibration Monitoring Device - The PCB Series 683A installed, continuous operation vibration monitoring device reliably supervises machines based on their vibration levels. In case of exceeding the warning level, it informs the operator or the technological center, and can stop the machine or equipment when the dangerous vibration threshold is reached. The device can be used instead of occasionally existing - but aged and maintenance-demanding - mechanical emergency stop devices, and also where mechanical solutions have not been effective at all. The built-in digital display provides information (right next to the machine) about the current vibration values.

The PCB Series 683A vibration monitor is available in a portable single-channel version with a vibration acceleration transmitter (4...20 mA) or in an ICP version (with built-in charge amplifier) with a piezoelectric vibration acceleration sensor.

Description

The PCB 683A device processes the sensor signal according to the set measurement range and scaling, digitally displaying the current value and (optionally) providing a vibration acceleration or velocity proportional 4...20 mA current signal on the terminal block.

The operation of the prediction and alarm relay outputs is based on the effective value of vibration acceleration or velocity as selected. When the set prediction or alarm threshold is exceeded, the corresponding LED lights up, and - after the set delay time - the prediction or alarm relay contact switches.
