Sensonics FCM-4 Machine Protection Unit - Four-channel installed vibration monitoring-machine protection unit

Sensonics FCM-4 Machine Protection Unit - The Sensonics FCM-4 type four-channel vibration monitoring-machine protection unit is primarily designed for monitoring electric motor-driven fans and pumps, but can also be used for any other type of rotating machinery - such as compressors, mills, crushers, mixers, etc. The FCM-4 ensures the supervised machine is completely safe: the device is virtually maintenance-free and performs continuous self-checks on its measuring channels and connected measuring circuits for safety. The unit is capable of receiving signals from four ICP-type (with built-in charge amplifier) piezoelectric vibration acceleration sensors or resistance temperature sensors.

Description

The FCM-4 device processes the signals from the sensors according to the set measuring range and signal integration, then outputs current signals proportional to the vibration levels (or temperature) from each channel. The buffered signals from the sensors are available for further evaluation at the BNC connector.

The operation of the two alarm relay outputs per channel is based on the appropriate channel signal level. If the vibration level on any channel exceeds the set warning or protection threshold, the warning or protection LED corresponding to the channel lights up, and the respective relay contact of the channel switches.

The current values and set limits can be viewed on the built-in digital display.
